This will be my summer reading! How Children Succeed by Paul Tough. The book struck me with the truth behind students succeeding and failing. The overall concept is that students are taught the GRIT, character traits, and curiosity skills that form a students road to success not only as a child but also later on in their adult lives. Not asking them to be the smartest at solving math problems but teaching them to use perseverance, optimism, and self-control to gain successes.
