My PDSA Cycle Plan Do Study Act - this system allows myself and the students to collect data and track what is working in our lessons and what we need to fix!

I do NOT SET rules in my class..... We live by "NORMS" these are expectations that I have the students agree on. At the start of each year the class comes up with their own mission statement and I have them chant it every morning!

I use CHAMPS as a management tool.... I found that this method gives my students and me fewer interruptions and more student engagement. The expectations are very clear and a success is in place if students follow the CHAMPS throughout an activity.

I use the CAFE model for my guided reading stations. Teaching a higher grade level can be difficult when trying to host reading stations. The students are able to choose the area they need to improve. Within each piece comprehension, accuracy, fluency and extend vocabulary all of our reading strategies are posted.
